KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Improved hiking trails at Crowder Mountain are on the way.North Carolina State Parks announced this week that $2 million will be granted to Crowder Mountain in an effort to improve hiking trails.Over the last year, more than 750 people visited Crowder Mountain State Park. A spokesperson from the park said the funds would be used to repair and improve hiking trails that were heavily used by visitors.Crowder Mountain is not the only state park in North Carolina to receive improvement funding.
