A new business park is coming to Harnett County in a location that has more than 100 years of history. A group of New York investors purchased the old Erwin Cotton Mills for $9.5 million, according to a deed filed Feb. 7. The 57-acre complex sits in the heart of Erwin, off North 13th Street. The small town of 5,000 people is about 50 minutes south of Raleigh between U.S. Highway 421 and the Cape Fear River. Erwin is about 10 minutes west of Interstate 95. The buyer, 200 North 13 LLC, lists Moshe Silberstein out of Brooklyn, New York, as its registered agent.
